Working with IBM Cloud Integration Service on Bluemix and Cast Iron Live

Categories: Guaranteed To Run™, IBM

GK IBM LS Partner

Duration: 0.1 Day

Bluemix Cloud Integration Service makes it easy to integrate data between applications that are running in the cloud and applications that are running on-premises behind a firewall.

This course consists of demonstrations that show, in easy incremental steps, how to securely share data from WebSphere Cast Iron orchestrations with applications in the cloud by using Bluemix Cloud Integration service.

This course has no hands-on lab exercises.

After completing this course, you should be able to:

  • Create and configure a simple “Hello World” orchestration with Cast Iron Studio
  • Import and run an orchestration on Cast Iron Live
  • Call an orchestration on Cast Iron Live and verify results
  • Identify the API that is used in the example and recognize correct results
  • Embed a GET call to that API into an orchestration
  • Create and test a URL to call the API within the orchestration from Bluemix with the Cloud Integration service
  • Create an environment variable so that cloud-based programs can easily call the API in the Cast Iron orchestration with Bluemix Cloud Integration service
  • Install a secure connector between Cast Iron Live Server and the database host
  • Access a database behind a firewall with a secure connector in a Cast Iron orchestration
  • Create an interface so that other applications can securely access the database behind the firewall with Bluemix Cloud Integration service

This course has no prerequisites.
