This 1-day course provides students with the fundamental knowledge and concepts of the IBM® Sterling Field Sales application. This course is primarily designed for developers and implementers.

The course begins with an overview of the IBM® Sterling Configure, Price, Quote solution offering and explains the role played by Sterling Field Sales in this offering. The course explains the quoting and opportunity functionalities offered by Sterling Field Sales. The course also provides in-depth information of the configurations performed in the IBM® Sterling Business Center and IBM® Applications Manager applications and shows how the result of these configurations are realized in Sterling Field Sales. Additionally, the course also discusses the integration of Salesforce.com with Sterling Field Sales and explains how the integration has simplified the entire quoting process.

Through a combination of procedural information and exercises, students can learn to configure the different quote and opportunity features for the Sterling Field Sales application.

After completing this course, students should be able to:

  • Discuss the Sterling Configure, Price, Quote solution offering.
  • Describe the features and functionalities of Sterling Field Sales.
  • Explain the quote functionality.
  • Explain the opportunity functionality
  • Configure the quote and opportunity options in Sterling Business Center and IBM Applications Manager
  • Discuss the integration and functioning of Salesforce.com along with Sterling Field Sales.
